Celebrating our liberty through Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5:1 - "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
The lovely fact is, the born again Christian is free! To quote another scripture, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36)" We, who are saved, have been released from our chains of bondage. Much like our ancestors who fought bravely in the American Revolution and won, the liberty is our freedom from the tyranny of having to earn our own way to God, the freedom from sin and guilt and condemnation, freedom from the penalty and the power and eventually freedom from the presence of sin.
During the upcoming holiday, let's remember the price paid for our freedom, both in the United States of America, and the price paid for our Spritual freedom. Blood was shed in both instances to give us the freedom we enjoy. God bless the USA! And God bless us to continue spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!
