Oak Grove Baptist Church, North Wilkesboro, NC, is prayerfully seeking the full-time pastor whom God has chosen to lead our small, rural Southern Baptist congregation of 70+ active members into the future.  The candidate must have a clear and compelling call from God, with strength in teaching and preaching the whole truth of the Word.  Also, he must have a compassion for people, experience in shepherding a body of believers, and a vision for growth and outreach to the community. 
In addition, his skills must include, but not be limited to:

 

• Good communication and organization

• Administering the church ordinances

• Articulating a vision for the congregation

• Equipping the saints for the work of ministry in order to evangelize the lost

• Caring for the sick and bereaved

• Guiding and advancing the spiritual welfare of the church

Interim Music Director - Part-Time

GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

• Directs the music ministry of the Church.

• Assists the Pastor in planning all worship services.

• Arranges and provides music for funerals, special services and other Church-related activities upon request.

• Model Biblical integrity in all things.

• Available 6 to 10 hours per week including partial office hours.

• Beginning as early as June 6, 2021

 

SALARY INFORMATION

During limited church activities, the pay will be $140.00 per week based on 10 hours at $14.00 per hour. When we resume more activities, including choirs both adult and children, the rate will increase to $196.00 per week based on working 14 hours per week at $14.00 per hour.

 

A typical week (currently) would look like:

4 hours on Sunday Morning

2 hours on Thursday Evening (Praise Team practice)

Possibly an additional 4 hours per week for planning or other functions
