The Story of Creation and the Fall of Man
We live in a beautiful place! Our majestic mountains, covered in flowers in the spring and vibrant green trees in summer change to a blaze of color in fall. Now we welcome winter and the beauty of a blanket of snow softening the edges of everything, and making the world look clean and new. Not to mention the deer, squirrels, rabbits, wild turkeys and even the occasional bear who share the mountains with us. It's a great place to live, and very few people would deny it's beauty.

There are only two fundamental ways of comprehending the beauty and life all around us. Either it is all (including you) one big cosmic accident with no meaning, no purpose, no order, and no value, OR it is the creation of an intelligence far more vast than we can ever begin to comprehend.

You are no accident!

God created the universe and everything in it. And when he created it, he called it very good. But now there are bad things in the world as well. It is no longer very good. So what happened?

When God created the first people, Adam and Eve, he gave them one very important instruction, not to eat of the fruit of a particular tree. That was the only rule. But they chose to break this rule. They chose to believe a lie, that breaking this one rule would be okay. Because of this, evil and destruction came into the world. Worst of all, the close relationship Adam and Eve had once had with God was broken, and there was no way for Adam and Eve to restore the relationship. Forgiveness and restoration had to come from God.

But God had a plan to heal this broken relationship.
